I started my software development journey in 2004 (about 20 years ago). At that point in time the only options were either studying computer networking and becoming an expert in networks or pursuing software development and develop desktop or web applications. The options were relatively limited, it was also hard to make a decision. Everyone had a different opinion about what is good, what has a future, etc. in this space. I knew I had to make a decision after the graduating but I didn’t know what was the best option for me.

In this article I will share my experience and view about getting into the tech industry and climbing the ladder into higher positions. This article suits students and new graduates who are seeking their first job as well as people who wants to take their current job to the next level.
